Domestic moves have always been an important part of our business. This side loading van had just been added to the fleet when the shot was taken.

The National Physical Laboratory in Teddington is where the first large scale computer was built and the atomic clock developed. We won the contract to relocate 396 individual labs and thousands of items of equipment beating eleven other specialist move companies.

Burton & Smith takes delivery of two custom built 17 tonne trucks, increasing the fleet to sixteen at that time.
